After installation, it's time for your first Radiology report generation!
Step 1 - You can start Radiology report generation by clicking on the FluteSpace Chrome extension, as shown below.
Step 2 - Select or Search Procedure Template
- From here, you can click on the 'Select or Search Procedure’ search bar to navigate to pre-defined templates.
- Browse through the list of available procedure templates.
- Click on the template that best fits your needs.
Step 3 - Start Dictation Using Microphone
- Ensure your browser has microphone permissions enabled.
- Start dictation by clicking on ‘Microphone’ button located by the ‘Medical Transcription’ tab. Please note FluteSpace supports multiple languages, but is optimized for English transcription and report output.
- Use the same ‘Microphone’ button to pause and resume the dictation.
- Pro tip - Use a high-quality microphone to ensure clear and accurate dictation.
Step 4 - Select Your Preferred Impression Style
- Go to the ‘Impression Style’ section just below the ‘Procedure’ search bar.
- Select ‘Concise’ or ‘Descriptive’ impression style for your reporting output.
Step 5 - Generate Smart Report
- Click the ‘Generate Report’ button on the ‘Medical Transcript’ tab to transform raw medical transcript into a well structured report.
- Examine the generated report in ‘Smart Report’ tab for accuracy and completeness.
Step 6 - Regenerate Output If Unsatisfied
- Adjust your dictation or select a different impression style if necessary.
- Click the ‘Regenerate’ button on the ‘Smart Report’ tab.
- Check the new output to ensure it meets your standards.
Step 7 - Copy Output to Your Existing Reporting Platform
- Click the ‘Copy’ button on the ‘Smart Report’ tab to copy the generated report to your clipboard.
- Navigate to your existing reporting platform and paste the copied report into the appropriate section.

- Visit our Chrome store here and select Add extension.
- Follow the prompts to enable your microphone access, then the FluteSpace extension will appear next to your URL bar, as shown below.
- And that's it! You're ready to start using FluteSpace Radiology Co-pilot.
After successfully adding the extension, please complete your installation by signing up (if you are new to FluteSpace) or logging into your account.

If you can't find your FluteSpace Chrome extension
It's possible it's hidden behind the puzzle icon . This is Chrome's way to let you choose which extension are visible. Here's how to check:
- Click the puzzle icon to reveal all your Chrome extensions.
- Find FluteSpace for Chrome and press the pin icon. This will move your FluteSpace extension to your Chrome taskbar for easy future access.
FluteSpace takes privacy and security of patient data very seriously. We sign business associate agreements as required under HIPAA. FluteSpace follows the necessary Administrative, Physical & Technical safeguards as required by HIPAA. FluteSpace is SOC2 compliant and uses industry-standard encryption and security protocols to secure your data.
We regret to hear that you're experiencing difficulties accessing FluteSpace. We are currently expanding our reach in a systematic manner. However, due to trade sanctions and embargo regulations, FluteSpace, like other similar entities, is unable to offer some of our services in specific countries or regions. This includes Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Syria, and the following regions in Ukraine: Crimea, Donetsk People's Republic, and Luhansk People's Republic.
We're always trying to improve FluteSpace and would love to know what features and radiology templates would best help you! If you'd like your voice to be heard, you can login to our FLUTE Lite extension and visit the feedback form. Here, you can submit your feedback.
If you need to update your VAT/GST, billing address, or any other billing info, then visit your subscription page from FLUTE Lite extension. From there, you can make the necessary changes. Once updated, all your future invoices will display your VAT/GST, company address, or billing information correctly. Please note that you will not be able to update already-issued invoices.
If you're experiencing issues with the FluteSpace extension not capturing your microphone audio when recording medical transcript with the FluteSpace Chrome extension, please follow the below troubleshooting steps:
Step 1 - Step 1 - Open your Chrome microphone settings (chrome://settings/content/microphone) from the Chrome browser and enable your setting as per below:
- Choose a default mic.
- Select 'Don't allow sites to use your microphone'
- Clear the list of websites under 'Allow' by clicking the trash icon next to each website. Then exit this page.
Step 2 - Restart your Chrome browser, then re-open Chrome microphone settings (chrome://settings/content/microphone) and choose 'Sites can ask to use your microphone'.
Step 3 - Open your FluteSpace App, then launch the FluteSpace extension by clicking the FluteSpace icon in your address bar. Click on the microphone button in the Transcript tab. You should now see a pop-up asking if FluteSpace can 'Use your microphone'. Click 'Allow' as per below, then exit the FluteSpace extension.
You should now be able to record successfully.
If you don't see a pop-up window or accidentally click the Block button, you can click the icon in the address bar then select Always allow to grant access.You can refresh the tab to see whether the access is successfully granted.
Yes, FluteSpace provides comprehensive multilingual support, including real-time translation and transcription, and localization, enhancing accessibility and usability for a diverse user base.
You don't need any expensive dictaphone for transcribing speech to text. For optimal performance with FluteSpace, it's advised to speak distinctly and clearly, position yourself close to the microphone, and reduce any surrounding noise. These practices enhance transcription accuracy and ensure important information is captured effectively.
The final radiology report produced by FluteSpace is highly accurate due to its sophisticated natural language processing and machine learning algorithms. Our algorithms can assess the entire transcription context, effectively eliminating spot errors.

According to the majority of our customer feedback, positive findings significantly influence the clinical course of action. We recognize that individual radiologists have their own preferred style of writing impressions, and our enterprise version accommodates this feature. If you would like a more customized approach, please contact our team.
We gauge impressions based on their medical importance, putting the critical ones on the top. We are still building our algorithm to advance this feature. Please give a thumbs down at the bottom of the final report if you don't see impressions sorted based on medical importance. We request you to elaborate so we can make tweaks in our model.
